In its annual ranking, “America’s Best Colleges 2013,” U.S. News & World Report ranked ºÚÁÏÍø second overall among master’s universities in the West. At 96 percent, ºÚÁÏÍø has the highest freshman retention rate of all master’s universities. Santa Clara’s average undergraduate graduation rate, 86 percent, was the third highest rate of the 625 master’s universities across the country.

The de Saisset Museum at ºÚÁÏÍø opens two new exhibits this fall that feature exciting varieties of textiles and jewelry. Guest curated by Sheryl Nonnenberg, Beyond Function: Fiber, Fabric, and Finery explores innovations in textile art through the work of 11 Bay Area artists. Jeweled Prosthetics: Jewelry as Extension of Self, an exhibit organized by guest curator Melissa Behravesh, features pieces by two artists who take jewelry beyond the realm of conventional adornment. Both exhibitions are on view August 17 through December 2, 2012.
