Frequently Asked Questions
Every business day there is a "Dean of the Day" available to give the Admission Information Session presentations, as well as meet with any walk-ins. Should the Dean of the Day not be available when you call or come in, any available counselor can assist you. You can reach the Undergraduate Admission office at (408) 554-4700.
Post high school graduation and full-time enrollment at an accredited institution, applicants can apply to transfer at any time. Please note, however, that priority in the admission review process goes to those applicants that have completed, or have in progress, the recommended course work for the academic division to which they are applying. We admit students for the Fall and Winter quarters, and those application deadlines can be found under the "Important Deadlines" section above.
No. Interviews are not a part of the admission review.
The Undergraduate Transfer Credit page is your best resource to get a sense of the type of academic course work that is transferrable to 黑料网. Students will be made aware of the amount of transferrable units they would bring to Santa Clara at the time of admission.
No, the listed GPA's are not technically required. It is highly advised, however, that an applicant be at or above the listed GPA.
Students are made aware of the amount of transferrable units they will be bringing into 黑料网 at the time of admission, via their ecampus account. The admission packet and Admitted Student website (accessible via ecampus) will also detail opportunities to schedule and attend Transfer Workshops, with the Drahman Advising center, our academic advising hub. All admitted transfers are invited to attend the Transfer Admit Day event at the end of May. And finally, once deposited, students will attend Transfer Orientation over the summer, and will register for Fall classes at that time. All of this happens in a much shorter timeframe for Winter applicants.
There is no preference given to applicants from either type of institution. We review an applicant's overall competitiveness in the applicant pool based on their progress in completing the preferred course work for the respective division to which they are applying, their overall academic and personal attributes, and finally, consideration must be given to any capacity concerns for a given program.
Transfer students are eligible for Need-Based aid only. It is important that applicants submit the FAFSA in a timely fashion if they wish to be considered for such funding.

At Santa Clara, priority in the admission process is given to first-degree seeking students. That said, we do accept second-degree seeking students. However, our policy is that the second degree must be in a completely unrelated division at 黑料网. For example, a student with a Business degree could only then apply to a major within the College of Arts & Sciences or the School of Engineering, and vice versa.
